I am very excited about our latest lace stencil. It is the second lace design to come from our Vintage Stencils range. The first of them can be found here and has been featured here and stencilled by Martha Stewart and team here.
The stencil is an all over repeat. They are easy to use if you have a straight line to work from. I used a plumb to make a line and positioned the stencil against it.
Re-aligning the stencil for a pattern repeat is simply a matter of placing the printed area of stencil over the pattern that you have just applied. The paint will not be wet if you have followed our instructions on how to stencil with paint.
The wall was stencilled by Wendy Parkin, one of the 5 artists exhibiting at The Stencil Library this month. Wendy had never stencilled before but I was confident that she would make a good job. Her help was much appreciated because I could then get on with stencilling another wall.
I propped the wall to look like a bedroom in day light.....
and also by night.
I took the following picture at sunset when the sun was streaming through the window bleaching the colours.
I bleached them further with Photoshop.
The bedspread, cushions and curtain panel are part of a set in our clearance sale at the shop. So, if you need a pink and black satin single bed set at less than half price, you know where to come.
The lace 2 stencil can be ordered by here.
