Stencil VN215 Lets' Dance. From stencil-library.co.uk
The time is upon us when a large chunk of the UK is glued to their TV screens until Christmas. They will be engrossed in the new season of Strictly Come Dancing. I have never seen the appeal but friends and colleagues love it so no doubt I shall be following it through their conversation. I would rather spend my evenings painting and stencilling so with that in mind I shall introduce stencils upon the theme of dancing. The Let's Dance stencil shown above is a repeating design, it looks amazing but I'm not sure whether Chips was looking to make an interesting stencil when he drew it or whether the steps are actually dance-able.

Stencil VN214 Fan Dancer
VN214 Fan Dancer stencil used here on a floor stencilled by Sandy Gunderson of A visual Feast in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
VN251 Two Step. This one takes a little more effort as it is a multi layer repeating stencil but could be well worth the extra investment. All the patterns above can be found in The Vintage Collection at The Stencil Library.
The stencil below is SIB25 from the Stencil It collection, it has two standard sizes and is an inexpensive repeat pattern stencil. I think this could look very effective as stenciled drapes. A few embroidery stiches could add further decoration to the fabric after stencilling.
All the patterns that I have shown you so far have been repeat pattern stencils, so last but definitely not least is our Chorus Girls border.
Bathroom wall stencilled with 313 Chorus Girls stencil.
We have loads more, just put dancers into the search box on our site to see more dance inspired stencils, all can be ordered from the website.
Helen.
