A newsletter from 'Sheerluxe' introduced me to Molitor via their feature 25 Cool Places to visit in Paris. I think Molitor looks fascinating. Have you been? There is a a summer and winter pool, the latter is under a huge glass canopy. The rooms and the roof top restaurant look gorgeous. At the moment Molitor abounds with art deco splendour, however it has had a varied and interesting history since since 1929. The Molitor web site offers a short and entertaining video explaining the legacy of Molitor and showing film of its history; it features Johnny Weissmuller, the first bikini, skateboards and spraycans before reaching its latest reincarnation. I recommend it.
For a bit of Parisian lido decor in your own home try using stencils. Create your own version of this floor with our MD86 cube stencil onto concrete, canvas floor covering or wooden boards. For full on monochrome pattern try an assortment of repeating pattern stencils from our Vintage Collection.
For a more light hearted take on lido living our 'On The Beach', 'Paris' or 'Wish You Were Here'' wall stencils might fit the bill. The stencils are cut to order and can be custom sized if needed. Meanwhile...back to Molitor, their video and website.... and a bit of dreaming.
