A challenge and a deadline was put to me last week on what was already a very busy day. "Could we have two different photographs of your fireworks stencil by 6pm this evening?". Luckily, it was needed 6pm New York time and not Stocksfield and this gave me five hours more. I ran to my studio and started to paint walls. Here is the result:
This picture shows the Firework Stencil in large it is stencilled with iridescent paint and I have continued the design onto the floor.
Our next picture shows Larger Than Life Fireworks in the large size.
I'll let you know which publication the photos are for when I'm allowed to. You may remember that Yvette Ayres, talented decorative artist and Design Inspiration reader, sent us the picture below. It is her client's lavvy stencilled with LTL Fireworks and white pearlescent paint.
Yvette's clients chose a more subtle interpretation of the design, which has allowed us three diverse ways of looking at fireworks stencils. Both the fireworks designs are made up from circles which makes them virtually indestructable under normal stencil use. This is a great bonus if you are repeating the design many, many times. If time had allowed, I would have exprimented with texture gel through them as I have a sample from Golden Paints and have not had time to play with it yet. When I do, I'll share the results.
Helen.
