Separate the wall with colour, it is such a simple yet effective idea. Mark a level line with low tack masking tape and paint the area below the line in a contrast colour peel away the tape to reveal a neat crisp edge. Stencil a border such as OTT3 Ottoman border above the line then clean the stencil, flip it then stencil the mirror image in the contrast colour. Divide and conquer!
A white wall stencilled with green paint. My friend Holly Everett stencilled this wall for Shop etc magazine) using the art deco repeat pattern stencil DE317. Vary the intensity of the colour by using different pressures and a good stencil brush as you create the pattern, the variety in tone will give movement to the stencilled pattern and prevent it from looking flat. The stencil has registration marks to help align each pattern repeat.
